Digital Twin

Digital Twin board game

The rise of cyberbullying, online scams, unsafe internet browsing, stealing of identity, or online leaked information led to the need for a Digital Rights Charter that people and states should respect, as it is an extension of human rights. Nowadays, people need to learn their rights in the digital world and how to protect them.

By pointing out the need of young people to understand what digital rights are and how these apply to them while also raising the consciousness of youth regarding the amount of consumption of fossil fuels used to power the tech&digital industry, we choose to develop a ready-to-scale workshop in the form of a board game that aims to create a sense of awareness through information.

Ready to scale solution:

Navigate a complex network of challenges and protect your personal information while learning about internet accessibility, hacking, data breaches, and more.

Digital Twin is a new multiplayer board game that seeks to educate players about the importance of digital rights and how to protect them. In their journey, the players navigate a complex network of challenges such as internet accessibility, hacking attempts, data breaches, freedom of expression, digital literacy, and intrusive advertising, trying to protect their personal information and avoid losing points.

User experience objectives:

  • The length of the game allows players to complete a full game in a reasonable amount of time without feeling rushed or bored
  • The game has a balanced level of difficulty, providing a challenge for players without being too frustrating or impossible to complete
  • The game has an enjoyable and satisfying ending, allowing players to feel a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment when they complete the game

Digital Twin is an interactive method through which young people will acknowledge the effects of tech&digital upon human rights and climate justice.
